Ten food characters, all made with chenille — a looped, pile thread that produces a soft, raised, almost fluffy surface that regular embroidery doesn’t have. Each patch has a face and limbs, which means each one has a personality. The chocolate donut is the largest, a full round shape with a dark chocolate glaze and a cheerful expression that suggests it has absolutely no concerns. The yellow ice cream cone is the tallest and narrowest, a soft-serve swirl in pale yellow with a striped straw detail, doing its best to stay composed in warm weather. The matcha swiss roll has a strawberry on top and a green spiral cross-section visible on its face — the most technically specific design in the set, and clearly very proud of it. The chef taco is wearing a small chef hat and holding its own ingredients with both arms, which raises questions. The walking red tomato is the roundest and the reddest, with small legs and a determined expression that suggests it has somewhere to be. The dancing pizza slice is in full motion, arms and legs extended, red pepperoni dots across a yellow cheese surface — the most energetic of the ten. The pink macaron has a small red cherry on top and legs that dangle below the sandwich biscuit, very pleased with itself. The cute croissant is golden and horizontal, the most relaxed shape in the set, with a small face tucked into the curve. The bitten chocolate chip cookie is the smallest, with a single bite taken out of the upper right corner — someone got there first. The sweet custard pudding is in warm caramel tones with a green leaf on top, the most wobbly-looking of the ten and entirely at peace with that. All ten are made with the same chenille technique — dense, textured, and soft to the touch in a way that photographs well and feels even better in person.
Stick them on bags, backpacks, notebooks, phone cases, laptop sleeves, or canvas pouches. They work well individually as a single food character, or as a full set of ten for a complete cast.
